THE BARBER ON BISHOP BRADLEY LANE

A Catholic Barber Shop?

To prepare for the Feast of St. Joseph on March 19th,  Fr. Jason was praying the St. Joseph Novena. As part of the novena you also include your intentions. So for nine consecutive days he was praying and seeking St. Joseph’s powerful intercession for many intentions. Then on the Feast of St. Joseph he had an inspiration and it had to do with a barber shop! After praying about it some more, he realized that a barber shop would be a way for Catholic men to meet up with other Catholic men for fellowship. He was even more inspired when he  read an article shortly after about a priest who shared some stories about getting haircuts in the seminary barber shop.

Then along came a young Catholic man - who is a barber - and his name is Joseph.

It soon became obvious that the room on the back of the rectory which is on Bishop Bradley Lane would be the place. Then this brought to light the name of this ministry, “The Barber on Bishop Bradley Lane”!

Our plan as we begin this ministry for men is to be open at least two Mondays each month from 12:00 - 7:00 PM. Watch the bulletin for dates!

Please stop in and visit and to meet our barber, Joseph. Although we are happy to take walk-ins, its a good idea to schedule your haircut in advance. Simply give our parish office a call at 603-622-6404 to set your appointment.
