Deacon Karl Cooper went to college in Massachusetts where he met his wife Dovile and began to learn about the Catholic Church. After studying in a Presbyterian seminary for four years and teaching in a different Presbyterian seminary for three years, he and his family began to think more seriously about the unity of the Church in time, space, and spiritual goods. In 1990 Karl was received into the Catholic Church. Deacon Karl was ordained in the Permanent Diaconate on September 9, 2017 and enjoys serving at the Cathedral and teaching at Magdalen College. He plays chess, hikes, and spends time with his extended family who are partly in New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts, and partly scattered through the rest of the nation.
